The reality & the approach

You're not failing the system. The system was never built for you.

What brings people here

Missed deadlines you genuinely meant to meet. Energy that runs hot, then quietly gives out. A home or inbox that feels perpetually half-sorted. And the quiet, exhausting belief that everyone else was handed a manual you never got.

Most productivity advice assumes a predictable rhythm: wake at 6, follow a rigid time-block, push through resistance with willpower. When that inevitably collapses, you blame yourself. But the issue was never your character — it was advice designed for an entirely different brain.

NeuroNurture replaces correction with curiosity. I work with the wiring you actually have, not the one a generic planner wishes you had.

What this actually looks like in practice

“In session, I might map the exact hours your focus peaks, then rebuild your mornings around it — or untangle why starting your taxes feels physically painful, then design a 3-minute, zero-friction entry ramp so you can finally begin.”

Concrete, observable shifts — not vague abstractions.

Strengths-based, compassionate, and human.
Built around your energy's authentic pace, not a borrowed schedule.

About NeuroNurture

Coaching that meets your mind where it is.

NeuroNurture was founded on a simple belief: neurodivergent minds aren't broken versions of a standard template — they're a different operating system that deserves strategies designed for it, not against it.

Drawing on lived understanding of ADHD, autism, and the wide spectrum of neurodivergence, the practice blends practical scaffolding with genuine compassion. The goal is never to make you "fit" — it's to help you build a life that fits you.

Curiosity over correction

I start by noticing, not fixing. Your patterns are data, not defects.

Your pace, your systems

Strategies shaped around your energy's authentic rhythm — never a borrowed routine.

Strengths first

I build on what already works for your brain instead of pathologizing how it differs.

Interactive Explorer

Find what aligns with your brain today.

Take 60 seconds to reflect on your current energy and friction points. There are no "right" answers—only clues to what kind of support feels genuinely relieving.

Executive Function • Step 1 of 3

When looking at your typical week, where does most friction show up?

A way to think about change

Start with what is useful.

Small observations point toward workable micro-shifts in real life. No sweeping reinventions that lead to immediate burnout.

  1. 01

    Notice what takes effort

Pay attention to the moments, routines, or tasks that feel harder than they need to be. I help you set aside self-criticism and replace it with clean, neutral data about where your friction actually occurs.

  2. 02

    Look for useful patterns

Consider what naturally supports focus, energy, and follow-through in different situations. I help you uncover your existing high-leverage triggers, environment cues, and dopamine generators.

  3. 03

    Explore one workable next step

Try a single tiny experiment that fits your needs, without overcommitting. Then notice how your brain responds and adjust together iteratively.

Common questions

You might be wondering.

Honest answers to the things people ask before reaching out. If your question isn't here, the contact form is always low-demand.

No. Coaching is forward-focused, goal-oriented support for everyday executive function, energy, and life design. As a coach, I do not diagnose, treat, or assess any condition — this is not psychotherapy, clinical diagnosis, or medical care. If you need clinical care, I'll gladly help you think through how to connect with a licensed provider.

No. Whether you're diagnosed, self-identified, questioning, or just curious, you're welcome here. Coaching starts with how your brain works today, and you don't need a label to begin. I can't diagnose or assess for ADHD, autism, or other conditions, but if you're curious about a formal evaluation, I'm happy to help you think through next steps and finding a licensed professional.

Low-demand by design. Reach out by email or the contact form with as little as a single sentence — no phone call required to begin. I reply asynchronously within 24 hours. When you're ready to talk, the discovery call and coaching sessions are held over video, and camera-off is always welcome.

It's a very common story. The issue usually isn't your willpower — it's that the tools were built for a neurotypical rhythm. Most tools fail eventually, and that's information, not failure. I start from your actual patterns, test small, keep what works, and change what doesn't.

Yes. The previewable tools — the Friction-to-Flow Map, Energy Tracker, and Weekly Retrospective — download as a printable PDF immediately, no email required. They're a genuine starting point, not a teaser.

Absolutely. When cohorts open, they're sensory-conscious spaces where you share only what feels right, and camera-off / chat-only participation is always welcome. You can use a first name or nickname, and every participant agrees to confidentiality ground rules before we begin — so what's shared in the group stays in the group. A full participant agreement will be shared when cohorts launch. (Cohorts are coming soon — join the waitlist to be first to know.)

I practice within the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics and Core Competencies. That means a clear coaching agreement, strict confidentiality with defined safety limits, respect for your autonomy, and a firm boundary that I coach — I don't diagnose, treat, or offer clinical care. You can pause or end coaching at any time. See the "How we work together" section for the full picture.

How we work together

A clear, ethical foundation you can trust.

Coaching works best when the ground rules are clear. These four commitments shape every conversation we have — they're drawn from the ICF Code of Ethics and Core Competencies, and they protect you.

The coaching agreement

Before we begin, we'll agree on how we'll work together — session length and format, fees and scheduling, cancellation and rescheduling, and what each of us is responsible for. You'll always know what you're saying yes to, in writing, before any commitment.

Confidentiality & its limits

What you share in coaching stays private. I don't sell or share your information with third parties. The only exceptions are where safety requires it: if there's a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, or where I'm legally required to report. I'll talk with you first whenever I safely can.

ICF Code of Ethics

I practice within the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics and Core Competencies — treating every client with respect, honesty, and fairness, holding clear professional boundaries, and never diagnosing, treating, or offering clinical care.

Your rights as a client

You set the agenda and the pace. You can pause, decline, or end coaching at any time without explanation. You can ask questions, request changes, or request a referral to a licensed clinical provider whenever that's a better fit for what you need.

Not a substitute for clinical care. Coaching is a forward-focused, goal-oriented partnership — not psychotherapy, medical care, or clinical treatment. If your needs fall outside the scope of coaching, I'll help you think through connecting with an appropriately licensed provider.

Plain-language glossary

The words, without the jargon.

Understanding your own experience is the first step to self-compassion. These are shared, plain-language definitions of the terms that come up most in coaching — offered as education, never as diagnosis.

Psychoeducation

Teaching how the brain works, how executive functions operate, and why you might experience things like task paralysis or sensory overload. Sharing evidence-based information helps you understand your lived experiences, which removes shame and fosters self-compassion.

Practical Lifestyle Scaffolds

External structures, routines, and environmental modifications designed to support your executive functioning. Examples include the Friction-to-Flow Map, visual checklists, and energy-tracking routines. The goal is a supportive environment so your brain doesn't have to work twice as hard to get things done.

Executive Functioning (EF)

The brain's “control center” or management system. It handles planning, organizing, remembering instructions, managing time, and regulating emotions. Neurodivergent individuals often experience executive dysfunction, where these systems require more conscious effort or external “scaffolds” to operate.

Hyperfocus

A state of deep, intense concentration on an activity or topic of interest. During hyperfocus, you may lose track of time, ignore personal needs (like eating or using the bathroom), and tune out your surroundings.

Monotropism

A cognitive style common in autistic individuals where the brain tends to pull all its processing resources into a single “tunnel” of focus at one time. Transitioning out of this tunnel to a new task requires significant mental energy.

Task Paralysis (ADHD Paralysis)

A state of feeling physically and mentally frozen when faced with too many decisions, a transition, or an overwhelming task. The brain's processing loops, making it feel impossible to initiate action.

Alexithymia

Difficulty identifying, naming, or describing your own emotions. You might feel physically uncomfortable or stressed but struggle to pinpoint the specific emotion causing it.

Sensory Overload

A state where one or more of the body's senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste, balance) are taking in more information than the brain can process, leading to anxiety, irritability, or a freeze state.

Sensory Underload (Sensory Seeking)

The opposite of overload. This is when the brain is under-stimulated and actively craves sensory input (like movement, textures, or sounds) to feel regulated and focused.

Spoons Theory

A popular metaphor for energy management. “Spoons” represent units of daily energy. While a neurotypical person might start the day with an unlimited supply, a neurodivergent person starts with a limited number of spoons, and basic tasks (like showering or making a phone call) cost more spoons than expected.

Autistic / ADHD Burnout

A state of profound physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion caused by the long-term cumulative stress of navigating a world not built for your brain. It often results in a temporary loss of skills and executive functioning.

Stimming (Self-Stimulatory Behavior)

Repetitive physical movements, sounds, or tactile behaviors (like rocking, pacing, hand-flapping, or playing with a fidget toy) used to regulate sensory input, release excess energy, or soothe anxiety.

Masking (Camouflaging)

The conscious or unconscious suppression of natural neurodivergent traits, behaviors, or sensory needs to fit into neurotypical social standards. While masking can help with survival in school or work, it is incredibly energy-draining and is a leading cause of burnout.

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD)

An intense, overwhelming emotional pain triggered by the perception—real or imagined—of being rejected, criticized, or falling short of expectations. It is highly common in ADHD and autistic individuals.

The Double Empathy Problem

A theory by Dr. Damian Milton showing that communication breakdowns between neurodivergent and neurotypical people are not due to a “deficit” in the neurodivergent person. Instead, it is a mutual mismatch in communication styles—both groups struggle to understand each other's social cues, but the burden of adapting is historically placed entirely on the neurodivergent person.

Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) / Pervasive Drive for Autonomy

A profile of neurodivergence where everyday demands (even things you want to do) are perceived by the nervous system as an immediate threat to autonomy, triggering a fight, flight, or freeze response.

This glossary is for education and self-understanding only. I'm a coach, not a clinician — I don't diagnose, treat, or assess any condition.

Scope of support

Coaching and education, with clear boundaries.

NeuroNurture provides coaching, psychoeducation, and practical lifestyle scaffolds. As a coach, I do not diagnose, treat, or assess any condition — this is not psychotherapy, clinical diagnosis, or medical care. For acute clinical, psychological, or psychiatric healthcare needs, I'll always encourage connecting with an appropriately licensed practitioner.
